I forgot about Two Buck Tuesday until I was in the parking lot at the Oregon Zoo. It's great that the zoo slashes prices on the second Tuesday of the month, but zoo members avoid the crowds of that day like the childless avoid Chuck E Cheese.
But, once you've told your kids they are going to the zoo, they are going to the zoo! We took a different route than our usual and were treated to quite the show from the black bears. There is a new orphaned cub that joined the crew, and this playful little guy entertained everyone.
In the farm exhibit, the kids got to pet a chicken. I was very impressed the chicken didn't peck the kids, especially the loud, grabby one related to me!
The monkeys we travel with put on their own show - deciding to give each other piggy back rides.
