The boys got to play in their first chess tournament today. It amazed me to watch them focus so intently on a game. They worked so hard and followed the rules better than I'd even hoped (there is no talking during a chess match...chatting can get you booted out!)Jeff & I traded off at lunchtime, so I didn't get to see them finish up...and he left with them before the awards ceremony where they would have received their participation ribbon. Ah well. Next time I'll just have to stay all day. Bayley is a little bummed out about leaving early, but Hayden is fine with it.
