In Loving Memory....Connie Gooler

Mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, friend, artist, athlete, humorist, and the woman who introduced me to frozen yogurt..we miss you already.

To Those I Love and Those Who Love Me
(Author Unknown)

When I am gone, release me, let me go,
I have so many things to see and do,
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears.
Be happy that we had so many years.

I gave you my love, You can only guess,
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
But now it is time I travel alone.

So greive a while for if grieve you must,
then let your grief be, comforted by trust.
It's only for awhile that we must part,
so bless the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away, for life goes on.
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near.
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear,

All of my love around you, soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile, and say,.......
"Welcome Home"

Oh honey I'm sorry... I think we've all had enough of this stuff for one year. Best to your mom, and everyone else.

Connie J. Gooler
Stockton, CA

July 20, 1945 - November 3, 2007

Connie Gooler of Stockton, dearly loved wife, mother and daughter, lost her battle with cancer and passed away at home Saturday, November 3, 2007.

Her passing is preceded by her Dad, Bob Sovel and Father-in-Law, Vernon Gooler. Connie was born in Harvey, ND and at age 9 moved to Stockton. She attended STAGG high school and went to Fresno State College where she studied physical education and met her first husband Ron, the father of her beloved only child, Steve. Connie worked as both an artist and art teacher for many years. In 1989, Connie met her future husband-her mountain man and love of her life Norris Gooler, who shared her love of laughter and the outdoors. There were married in 1991 and Connie gained a second family with Martha and Vernon as parents-in-law and five children,Norlissa and Matthew, Joylynn, Ron and Todd and later became the proud grandmother to six grandchildren. A favorite family vacation was time spent at a cabin in the snow and camping by the ocean. An avid and talented sportswoman Connie also loved playing tennis and golf, and in later years enjoyed the fellowship and challenge of bocce where she made lifelong friendships. Highly competitive, Connie loved to play board games and challenge the guys to playing cards (and winning!). Her warmth, love and laughter will be greatly missed by all. Connie leaves behind her husband Norris; Mother, Doris; mother-in-law, Martha and seven children and six grandchildren. To respect Connie's wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society. The family thanks everyone for their love, support and prayers.
