Science Night!
The school science fair is always a must for Bayley. We got there a little late, and then Hayden tried to escape at the end, so it wasn't the best...but I do hope he enjoyed it. He liked looking at the experiments the 6th graders put together, and he LOVED the OMSI presentation...probably because there were explosions involved.
It was a great science overview, even if they had trouble seeing from the chairs. They had a parent light a hydrogen filled balloon...and then one with hydrogen and copper so it would be a different color, to show the kids the difference between a physical change and a chemical change.

Happy Easter!
The Easter Bunny brought baskets of goodies!! And as a bonus, the tooth fairy made an appearance thanks to Hayden losing his second tooth the night before.
Grace had her own Easter basket, but it was chocolate free, so she wanted Hayden's
The neighborhood egg hunt was in full effect!
The McCauley Easter brunch was great...Grace thought Aunt Betzy's new windows were the best part...Aunt Betzy won't think she's so cute when she has to clean all those fingerprints!!
Grace's first Easter was topped off with an egg cookie - well, it was Hayden's, but he left it on the table. What could she do but take a bite?

Eddie's 6th Birthday
I really need to look into having the boys birthday party someplace other than our backyard or the park. Eddie's party was much more relaxed and enjoyable. I usually spend teh pary running about like a kitchen and begging favors off of everyone I'm related to. But, the park party is something of a tradition, and we can afford it...
Anyway, the old school ice cream parlor was a big hit with all the kids. They got to make their own sundaes, but I think most of the kids were more impressed by the presents.
After the party, Bayley wanted to explore an alley that he'd found. Didja know the kid had never seen an alley? He'd read about them, and so wanted to see what they were all about. I must say, St. Helens has the cleanest alleys I have ever seen - thank goodness!

Easter Eggs
The weather held out so the neighborhood kids could dye eggs outside! Less mess to clean up. The boys had a great time...Bayley was thrilled that his fingers turned green. If only they'd actually eat hard boiled eggs.
Grace watched from her stroller for a while. The girl is completely against wearing socks.

Hayden's Jaguar Award
Hayden was recognized at the school assembly this morning. His teacher gave him the 'white glove award' for helping with clean up. He does love to help, I just never knew it was with cleaning!!
