B week

It's a B-week in the Burke household, and Bayley is really getting into it. We went to the library and found B animals to learn about - bears, bees, and beetles. We made a berry bush, and every time we read a B book, we put the name of the book on a berry and glue it to the bush.

At the grocery store Bayley and I made a list of all the B foods. We've been baking up a storm thanks to the B focus. Biscuits and baby blueberry muffins. Even hanging out in the garage at Jeff's folks became a B adventure - blankets and buckets and bleach...oh my! He's also proud to realize he's a double B. As are Grandma Bobbie and Grandpa Bill.

Bayley came up with a great B idea - Bowling! We went glow in the dark bowling yesterday. The glow in the dark part held Bayley's attention more than the bowling. But, it was still great fun.

Since I am the one that always puts that off the wall comments, here is my B comment - some of you may say it is BS, but oh well...

In addition to the things that they already know about, how about some new things like trying to get Bayley to eat BABA GHANOUSH or BABKA. You can also BAKE a BAKERS DOZEN BANANA BREAD loaves. You can confuse the kid by trying to have him find Babylon on the maps.

To make it really fun we can have Bayley and Hayden start planning Dan's BACHELOR PARTY. All night we can play BACKGAMMON while we drink BEERS and look at BABES on the internet. When we get sick of that we can run over to the casino and play BLACK JACK.

Okay...back to work.

Bayley balked at baking banana bread...though Babka...I do make a mean Babka.

Hayden is waiting for next week - put in his CupCake requests already.
