Focusing

How hard is it to take an in focus picture with a point and shoot camera? Evidently...darned near impossible.

So my friend...

...once told me that tights were fantastic for babies because they can't pull them off like they do with socks. Unfortunately, no one told Gracie and she's determined.

And Bayley got up on the horse so he could have his picture taken for the 'pets' wall in his classroom. I wonder if Sos knows he was being used...I hope they bribed him with appleasses.

Teeth!

I need to get some cute pics...but...

Grace has her first tooth. Just the one.

Hayden lost his first tooth. Just the one.

He was so nervous about it - afraid it would hurt, scared it would bleed, worried it would come out at school...and so it came out at school with pain and bleeding. But the glory! When you lose a tooth in kindergarten you're a hero of all the other kids, plus you get to go to the office and get a plastic tooth box!

The tooth fairy delivered a dollar...so the next day Hayden had to go to the dollar store. Couldn't wait. He got a bag of army men.

The Month Of Christmas

Thanks to the record busting snowfall, the kids have had a month of holidays. Jeff's family post-poned the festivities until after the snow meleted, so our weekend was filled with family gatherings.

From Hanukkah to Christmas, Boxing Day to deliveries from Uncle Gabe, Christmas at Grandma's and the McCauley Swedish Christmas...it's been non-stop gifts for a month!

Now it's back to our normal. I see days filled with microscopes and solar powered cars in our future...

Back To School

On Sunday it started to snow again. I wondered if it meant school would be canceled - again - but it rained overnight and school was back on. The boys were gone, and Grace was left to her favorite past time, emptying and loading he toy box.

I think the boys missed her. When they got home they both wanted to 'hold' Grace. I was sure her novelty would have worn off by now, but they think she's as cute as ever. It might be because we brought in the Little People toys again. The boys had a great time playing 'with' Grace. Though I don't think she ever touched a Little People toy.

Happy New Year!

We read about a fun Spanish tradition of eating 12 grapes to make sure the 12 months of the year will be sweet. We skewered them to make it fun...and Bayley still wouldn't eat them. Hayden wanted to make sure Bayley wasn't going to get a sour month, so he ate his and Bay's! What a good brother.
